Manna Missions Tanzania (SISTER FLORENCE CHILDREN HOME)
As for now, Manna Missions Tanzania plans to start up Children’s Home in Tanzania to rescue poor children.
In cooperation with local agencies, our organization will be running family strengthening programs to allow families to effectively care for their children. The support we will provide must vary according to the local needs but includes: food packages, basic vocational training, income generating projects, and legal advice and assistance.
When children can no longer stay with their families, they are cared for by their mothers in one of the Manna Missions Tanzania families.

5: How and who started the idea of the ministry?

Manna Missions Tanzania started as a seed when Maurice Odhiambo and Joel Yalanda met and share what everyone is planning to do. After their meeting they both realized that they share the same goals and hence do doubt to work together and form a Christian mercy and development ministry in Africa.

6:What was the intended purpose of starting the ministry and what did you see as the gap in your society?
The intended purpose of starting Manna Missions Tanzania was to care and support those who are suffering from natural disasters and man-made crisis especially widows, orphans, street children and other disadvantaged groups within and without Tanzania.
As you have gone through my report above Tanzania has lots of widows and orphans and street children who are suffering and have no one to stand on their behalf. Manna Missions Tanzania is more than willing to stand as the voice for the voiceless as well as to care and support the needy without any limitations.
7: How do you like people to get involved in ministry work ( is it through volunteers-ship, financial and non-financial resources and how can well-wishers help the ministry?
Manna Missions Tanzania would like to invite well-wishers to partner with us and help financially, provide resources like Food, clothe, Girls Pads, computers, sewing machines and volunteers who are willing to come and serve with our community.
All monies, volunteers’ application and resources contributions must be directed to the Ministry.
8: What systems of accountability would you like to put in place to insure donations are well utilized for intended purpose?

As you probably know that Manna Missions Tanzania works hand to hand with the strong denomination in Tanzania namely FPCT Church of Tanzania where we directed our widows to get spiritual help, Faraja Orphanage home and the Government of Tanzania as well.
Both leaders from Faraja , FPCT church and Arusha Government form a strong board for Manna Missions Tanzania and also check our finances and give advice after approving the financial report and sign it.
Our accounting systems controlled by 3 signatories one from the partner church and two from Manna Missions Tanzania …The partner signatory is very compulsory to us and no any transaction can be made without one signature from the partner representative.
Our financial policy is very open in such away that any donor is able to receive the financial report which finally audited by the chartered and licenced auditor.

Community & Social Services:
As a ministry, we offer alleviate suffering to the vulnerable to communities in East Africa. We are implementing two projects which span over three programs:

Orphans Project:
We are currently providing basic essentials to 200 orphans at Shangarai village. These children have been orphaned due to the high prevalence of HIV/AIDS & other diseases alongside harsh economic conditions which render them homeless and hopeless. Our hope is to reach an additional 1,241 in Sasi and Oldadai villages.

Widows Project:
The Bible addresses Christians’ collective responsibility to care for widows. As a ministry, we conduct widow visitations, peer group support sessions, Christian mentorship & discipling classes and Income generation education to the widows on a weekly basis. We also assist them with food, sanitary essentials, and other basic items.

Of the 50 widows we are serving, 40 of them gave their lives to Jesus Christ our savior while the other 10 already knew Jesus and have been serving in their local churches. We are currently putting together help to mentor train these women. To help them find their talents, skills and help them with equipping themselves to be more self-sufficient.

We also have an adopt a widow program where you can have one on one connection with the widow (s) of your choice. This provides you the opportunity to minister directly to a widow, have a direct link and connection with your widow through pastor Joel who organizes weekly phone/video calls.

Donate:
We invite donors to partner with us in changing the lives of these forgotten beauties of Christ.
It only takes 30$ a month to adopt a widow or an annual amount of 360$ per widow to carter for their expenses as we equip them with the necessary skills to sustain themselves in the long run.
