My name is Joel Edwin Yalanda. I was born in 1987 in Shomola Village, Mbeya region in Tanzania. I am 31 years old now. 

     My wife name is Glad Emanuel Levoyo. She was born in 1987 in a village in Oldadai in Arusha, Tanzania. My wif is 31 years old. My wife Gla is the first child among the 6 children in her family. Her parents have come to know God through her.

    I, Joel, am sixth of 9 children of late Edwin Matimati Yalanda, and his wife Flora Manasseh Abdallah. After my father died, I went through a very difficult time with my brothers. We didn't have the ability to eat even one meal a day. This is another moment that, I didn’t want to remember. When I remember that time and that kind of life full of pain, I am always cry very much. 

    In that midst of pained life, full of hunger, no hope, very discouraged, life full of misunderstandin,g where we feel that no one loved, or remembered us (we fetl like we are not human being anymore). We were waiting to die, and that is how I met God. He called me to serve Him, before understood  about Him, as well as as understanding His call to me.  I disagreed but after having many questions with Him. Finally, I agreed to  myself to serve Him, and to give all my life to Him, to use me whatever He wanted.

    I remember it was hard to accept that, because it was the first day to hear HIS Voice. I was in my room. I had just tied a rope waiting to hang myself. Just imagine, that situation, thinking about  our difficult life, not eating for  three days!  Immediately hearing HIS voice saying,  "Don’t do that! I am your Father from Heaven. From today, I will never leave you!" After he spoke, He also God told me not to look at the situation I was in, God showed me a great, beautiful city, with people dressed well, and after seeing that city, God told me that you will be like that city, and I will make you strong in my kingdom, and serve me correctly.

     After accepting God and listened to what he said, God had me go to Arusha to serve Him. and I agreed to come to Arusha and I did.     

     Here in Arusha is where I met my very beautiful wife, all of us together we are serving God, by preaching the Gospel, helping widows, orphans, and all the needy people by showing them the love of their Creator (Lord Jesus). From here, and the whole community of Tanzania. We thank God for making us to be His hands, and feet for His Kingdom.
